Yep, I agree, the Crown who granted the CB is the one of record on the scroll with the date and time of the giving.  I believe the date was set to go back to their taking the office of landed, so as to not have a gap in their OP position, and to not have a gap in their entitlement to Nobility.  However, the Crown that granted the CB after retirement is the one of record for the OP. Hillary Greenslade, OP

Just a FYI, it appears that the online monthly report form seems to be having issues.? I will be looking into it. ?Everything seems to be working but the sender does not seem to be getting their copy of the messages, not does anyone they copy on them.

Though it is possible that the regionals are still getting them. I am not yet sure what has happened as there has been no code changed on those pages in a long time.? So my first thought is Dreamhost may have made some sort of server change.

I will respond back when it has been resolved.

Thanks,
Alasdair

OK.  So the reports have been tested and seem to be working fine.  Just some email being slow getting where it needed to go it turned out.  That and messages getting caught in the SPAM filter.  At least for the tests.

So if you are not getting the messages please be patient and also check the SPAM filter.  If you don?t get your copy please check with your regional to see if they got theirs and I can check and see if it looks like it should have been sent out.

Thanks,
Alasdair

Part of the new code for the OP identifies what event and what crown gave
that award. Which is just fine and dandy and awesome. Except for one teensy
tiny thing that I keep flipping back and forth on.

Court Baronies given to stepping down Barony-in-Fiefs.

They are automatically back dated to when they first stepped up to the BiF.
So should the designated Crown be the ones who 1) granted the BiF or 2)
granted the CB? And what event should be listed - the BiF or the CB?

And currently we list out in the notes "barony name date-date" to show that
someone served as a BiF. But if keeping track of the BiF & Crown doing so
is important (which I think it is) maybe we need a purely database-relevant
new entry of, for example, OldBiF with date, Crown & event. Hm, it could be
given a rank of 20 so it wouldn't interfere with anyone's OP rank.

So your thoughts on this are welcome. I'm posting this on the Ansteorran
Heraldic Consultation FB list too. Reply where it's easier for you.
