Clare,

Thanks for the info on the Rose Rustlers, that's intriguing! Yes, I'm
interested in the old roses, too. I'd really love to find an apothecary rose.
Just curious, how is the rugosa rosa doing in Austin? I'd been told it didn't
do well this far south.

I'm working on a trip to a place up the road called the Antique Rose Emporium,
I was told someone got a sweet briar rose there, and I'm hoping for a couple
of the other period roses. One small problem, I haven't worked much with
roses before, and I want to keep them in large pots for now. How well do
roses do in pots?

About the time I got my plans for my herb knot worked out, we decided we were
going to look around for some land next spring, so that's on hold, and I'm
trying to limit new additions to plants that can survive in a pot for a year
or two. In fact, I'm reconsidering all of my garden plans.... <G>
