Lady Madeleine kindly reponded to Rhiannon's upset tummy
question with:

>Any mint tea is good for stomach problems. It is cooling and
>the menthol helps

Almost true. Pretty much any mint is good for an upset tummy,
and in combination with catnip, the two can be outstanding.
I also add a little lemon balm in my mixes, mostly for taste.

However, not all mints have menthol in them. Menthol is the
primary oil of both Mentha pepperita (peppermint) and Mentha
arvensis (Japanese mint), the two most common sources of menthol
in the world today. Menthol exists in nearly all mint varieties
with the notable exception of spearmint.
