HERB - Lavender in Cooking

Lyn, and list, I simply put 4-6 drops of a good essential lavendar oil into
my spritz bottle, and fill 'er up. Essential oils are not inexpensive, but
just a few drops will go a long way. My bottle of lavendar I have had for
three years, and there is still about an eighth of it left. Not bad for
less than an ounce of oil. I am hoping to be able to try to distill my own
oil from my lavendar plants this year, as so far they are growing nicely. I
definitely have enough peppermint and spearmint to experi"mint" with before
I touch the lavendar. I wish someone would have warned me when I bought the
mint to plant it at the other end of our property. My front flower bed is
doomed, I'm afraid, because silly me thought that it would be "nice" to have
the mint plants right under the windows on hot days so that the smell would
come in the house. I now have flowers fighting for their survival even as I
type, and there isn't much I can do about it except hope that my husband
will take pitty on me this weekend and move the plants (mint) for me.
YIS,
Fiona
Three things you will never hear a Celt say: Does this clash? Is this too
much jewelry? Is that my beer?
