This must happen at a lot of churches. :) When I was young and attending
a high episcopal church, we used to call the censor-related portions
of the service "smells and bells." (They rang the little gong and the
church bells for various things.) Someone in our church did the very
same thing you described. Poor altar girl. :)

Keep in mind that when you burn this incense, it's quite intense.
I can't do it in my apartment. People call the fire department on
me. :)
