HERB - Bloodroot

Does the bloodroot have a fragrance or are you using it as a fixative like oris root.I'm not quite sure what you are referring to when you speak of clarity.  Is this the clarity of a liquid product that you get from boiling?  Does the bloodroot produce the clarity? This sounds very interesting and not at all what I expected when I asked if anyone had had any experience with this herb.  I love potpourri tell me more and I'll share a way of making potpourri that MAY be period or, is at least Victorian.  I'll share anyway of course.

    The experience I have had is making poperie(sp) mixed with jasmine and roses bioled in water to help clerity.
