This is fascinating to hear, because I'd noticed the same thing.  Someone 
gave me a bar of lavender soap a couple of years ago, and I noticed that as 
long as I was using it, I didn't have problems.  I thought at the time that 
maybe it was the handmade soap, didn't really think about the lavender itself.
