I had heard of something similar using elder flowers, dipping them in
batter, and frying them up. Supposed to be right good. And elder flower
is good for flu and colds. Had not heard of it with Queen Anne's lace.
The stems of Q.A. lace are tougher than those of elder flower, and
sometimes a bit hairy.

If you try this be absolutele SURE you have Queen Anne's lace - there are
several very similar related herbs which are quite toxic, including
hemlock, which was used to poison Socrates. Once you learn to recognize
Queen Annes lace (wild carrot, Dacus carota), it is easy to tell from the
others ... just be SURE of your identification. Wild carrot usually
blooms in May and June in Ansteorra and Merides, sometimes into July.
