If it grows pretty tall with an airy habit, it sounds right! It smells
like a spicy sweet to me with subtle artimeisia over tones. Have you
surfed for a picture to make sure? Or take a piece into a greenhouse. I
wouldn't take anything internally that I had just id'ed over the internet.
;-)
I wish I had the reseeding problem, it is apparently too hot and dry here
for them to be happy in my garden. They mostly just sulk and croak. On
the other hand, my lavendar is covered with blooms and smells quite
intoxicating!
What I can smell over the smoke - we are close to the northernmost Colorado
wildfire. But today is cloudy and cool so we are hoping that things get
better under control!
