 Greetings all
  Freeze-distillation is how you make apple jack.  By freezing apple wine
and throwing the frozen (water) part away multiple times.  You leave the
alcohol behind.  This is a poor way to make a drink as I believe it also
leaves the stuff that gives one a hang over.
