[Namron] Round Table?

Greetings Mistress Alix. There are a few errors in your email that need to be addressed.

No official business is being conducted on the mailing list. An idea is being floated to see if there is interest. Ideas like this have been discussed on the mailing list for years, and it is an appropriate and accepted means to gauging interest between populace meetings.

Also, while the populace's input is important, any decision on the expenditure of funds is made by the financial committee, not the populace. We have a tradition in this barony of gaining the populace's opinion (and support) prior to expending funds... but it's not required. Please read the Branch Exchequers Handbook (click here) if you need further clarification.

An autocrat has not been selected. The Kingdom Seneschal chooses the autocrat (or event steward if you prefer) for kingdom level events. So how could someone on this list have chosen an autocrat already?

If (note the if) we use the Graphic Communications classrooms at OCCC, then I will be one of the autocrats. The classroom are being offered to us for our use because I have worked there for 10 years.

The rooms are being offered to me personally for our use, not to the Society at large. If I am not one of the autocrats we won't be using those classrooms. If someone else is an adjunct professor at OCCC they can, of course, speak with their department head about using classrooms there.

Please clarify. Exactly what rules have been bent or broken?

If we do want to host Round Table, we do have one site in mind (OCCC), but the cost would be $400. Is the Barony willing to pay the $400 for this site or does someone have another suggestion that would be cheaper or free?
