I really don't see all the fuss here.  Many animals have a different color
coat when they are young to help protect them.  Green would work for hiding
in the forest.  But when they come of age and don't need any help in
protecting themselves, they shed their youth coat and reveal their true
adult coat.  Her excellencies Catamount is now seven years old and
obviously just came of age.
