actually , yes people often associate  the name " john " with a privy / 
outhouse, or with a prostitutes customer, or with anonymity ( as in john 
doe ) .
and yes I have had people come up and ask " is your moon really black ? "
sorry to disagree with you here, but there are some names that have an auto 
response image built in, you hear the name tiny, or bubba , and you do not 
think of a petit or small brotherly type person .
just as your email  gives an auto image of a large blue ox , with an 
association to a large guy with an axe named Paul , whether or not that has 
anything to do with your reasons for choosing that name.
people will auto associate many things depending on their own backgrounds 
and histories, things they have done , read, seen, etc.
we have a local radio station that even plays off of its name ( or used to 
haven't listened in a long time ) radio station is " kmod" aka " commode" 
and yes they used to use the sound of a toilet flushing in some of their 
shows .
no spite needed, boredom on the other hand causes all kinds of mayhem with 
many things.
in a utopian world , you would be right, but in this modern version , even 
those who strive to attain higher noble standards, will still have an image 
generated in their minds , and will still respond to that image , be it for 
good or ill.
in all honesty , even if the commode region of ansteorra is chosen as a name 
, in time , the people of the region ,will create, and maintain, the image 
associated with the region ,
by the way they react to the name, ( among other things ) and the way it is 
used here as well as elsewhere.
but that's just social dynamics.

Not that I am jumping for joy on these names in particular, but wow you are 
stretching there.  That is about like saying anytime someone says the name 
Washington they are going to think they need to get their "Washing done". 
Or anyone named John is immediately going to make people think of restrooms. 
Heck with a name like Blackmoon, do we all think of an African American man 
pulling his pants down?  No.  People take names on their face value.  Most 
people don't try to connect names to remotely similar sounding concepts 
unless they are specifically trying to be spiteful.  I am not saying you are 
trying to be spiteful, only that we are not going to have to worry about 
people trying to play name games unless they are trying, and for those 
people it won't matter what name we choose.
