actually the soap says " KEEP OUT OF EYES AND OTHER MUCOUS MEMBRANES"

and the gel says " AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES"

for most people that means anywhere from 1/2 inch to 1 inch from eyes ,nose,
and mouth .
if the rash is closer to the eye than 1 inch ,you should probably go to the
doctor and get a shot anyway, as normal sleep movements can spread oil into
the eyes, nose or mouth.
