[Northkeep] Castellan is going on an adventure!

 Our Castellan tournament has always been unique, in that we look at the
overall excellence of the competitors, not just skill in one area. While
the format is exciting in its singularity, it often creates frustrating
scheduling conflicts for the competitors.
With Castellan XXXIII, our traditional championship event has reached the
Hobbit age of majority, and thus we felt it fitting that Castellan should
go on an adventure!
Throughout the following year, we will be taking a select few of our
championships and holding them at alternate events. This change gives us
the opportunity to add our championships that simply could not fit into the
schedule of a single-event Castellan. The Castellan Cup will encompass the
championships of: Dionadair, Ensign, Cut & Thrust, Drighton, Provost,
Archer, Marksman, Artisan, Bard. Points will be tracked in the Castellan
Cup passport throughout the year, and the totals will be used to guide our
choice of Castellan at Castellan XXXIV: Return of the King.
The first tourneys of the Castellan Cup will be the Dionadair and Ensign
Tourneys, to be held at the Canton of Chemin Noir’s SunFest Demo, June 2-4 (

The Dionadair is an armored combat tournament in which the champion will be
the leader of the Northkeep Chivalric forces at melee events throughout the
year. The Ensign will be the war leader for the Northkeep Rapier troops.
