PE - waterproofing

Greetings to the lists! 
Sorry for any cross posting. 
I have a dilemma. My new tent got rained on for an
entire weekend and I found everything inside soaked
when I wanted to go to bed Saturday night. My
waterproofer worked good the previous time it had
rained on my tent but now it doesn't work at all
apparently. What did you use to waterproof your tent
with? I love my tent but it is useless to me if it
leaks. Please let me know, thank you!
