I made a canvas groundcloth to serve the same purpose. It is more 
expensive, but has one big advantage (aside from not being obviously 
OOP). The groundcloth is shaped to fit the tent's footprint, so I can 
put it down and use it to show me where the stake go in. That makes 
the whole setup process substantially faster.
