SC - Period Viking Food = Norse Pies???

I have done several peacocks.  No one here has ever let me do one in 
recent memory but they are great.  The recipe is actually from a 
magazine and I would have to go back and look at the references on 
the article.  I know they are period but I haven't taken note in so 
long I don't remember them.

Please tell Dave I am very sorry to hear about his loss.  I will be 
thinking about him all weekend.
