> What we're really trying to say is all you'uns sothroners who are so proud of the Mason-Dixon line need to figger out where it is! I dinna care where abouts Delaware falls on the line, they ended up wearing Blue regardless, and the popular misconception that the M-D line defines the South after we whupped 'em is pure hogwash!... in serious defensive posture, Puck

Please, let's not start rehashing the War of Northern Aggression! I
have to relive it every day here. In South Carolina, "Old times there
are not forgotten..." aren't just the words of a song, they're a way of
life. To quote Bluto Blutarsky: "Over? It ain't over until we say
it's over!" We're still flying a variant of the Confederate Flag over
the state capital (which the legislature won't give the people a chance
to vote on whether it should stay), the NAACP has been running a tourist
and conference boycott, and now they're encouraging all the star high
school athletes to go to college out-of-state. My brother-in-law is from
Long Island and collects the blue civil war memorabilia; he's constantly
amazed that a war that ended 134 years ago can still play such a big
part in people's lives. My ancestors fought for the Confederacy, but I'm
willing to let the subject die. However, the prevailing attitude is
more like this popular bumper sticker:

Yankees 1
	  Halftime
Rebels 0
