This is a HUGE exaggeration.  This was argued fairly vehemently just prior to 
your joining the list.  No one is stating that genetically modified corn  has 
no effect on the Monarch Butterfly population.  However, after careful 
examination of the scientific report published by opponents of genetically 
altered vegetables, it can be seen that the paper is so worded that 
scientific data is given a whiz bang exaggeration so that it reads much more 
damaging than it actually is.
