Having recently spent time at the Astrodome (whatever is the real name?) in Wichita, I can tell you there are all kinds of space foods available for sale, including spaghetti-and-meatballs, peaches, strawberries, french fries, and yes, the ice-cream. IIRC, you can buy these and other items at the Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC (part of the Smithsonian).

I recently read an article about QUISP cereal, that it has been available through certain sites that also find candies people remember from childhood, and the fan club was so strong that the company has begun to manufacture the cereal again. Naturally, QUISP.COM has all the information.

Amanda asked about "Cook's Illustrated," and I have been a subscriber for many years, since it was first given to me as a gift. My brother, the SERIOUS cook of the two of us, has subscribed for longer. We both love reading the articles and refer to it often. My favourites are the ones where they analyze some basic thing, like roasting chicken, and explain how they came to the conclusion that such-and-so method or recipe works best.

You can check it out at the magazine stand of the major booksellers, if it is not sold out.
