Nope. Each package contains about a dozen very small plastic vials, about 2 inches long by 1/2 inch in diameter, each containing approximately a teaspoon of the little pellets. You open the vial, toss it back (its taste is... not terrific, but not like raw sewage, just a sort of generic bitter medicine taste), being careful not to choke on the billion little pellets you've just put in your mouth, and wash it down with, ideally, warm water. In reality just about any fluid will do.

I would bet, Kiri, that if you have access to any kind of good Chinese
grocery, they'll either have a medicine counter or one counter with
small odds and ends behind it. This'll be where they keep the herbal
medicines (the over-the-counter-stuff, as opposed to the more involved
stuff that has to be made by prescription, usually in the form of
ointments, teas and soups).

The directions for Po Chai Pills used to say to use 1-2 bottles (that's
one or two, or between one and two), per dose, twice a day, I think.

In general, though, I think Po Chai is gentler than, and easily as
effective as, the Western stuff, which seems to make you feel like
you've treated symptoms but are still sick.
