Huh. Well, since I have some shopping to do anyway, before 12th Night,
maybe I can pick up a few of these more interesting items... how 'bout
some nice jellied pigs' feet? Wait. I got it. Tonguewurst. Actually this
is a favorite of mine, when I can get it, and not even remotely awful.
It's just chunks of cured tongue (probably pork) surrounded by a nice
blutwurst mixture and just enough fat to keep it moist, packed into a
sausage casing. Seasonings would appear to include cloves, nutmeg, and
pepper. It _may_ be lightly smoked; I'm not sure. Tastes just a bit like
mortadella di Bologna.
