I try to remember to simply put fractions into decimals, that is:

three quarter = .75
one half = .5 
one quarter = .25
one eighth = .125

one third = .333
two third = .666

You have to stop and think an extra second, but there's no way those 
numerics are going to get scrambled, 8-).
