I wonder, if one were to talk to the Pennsic Merchant Lady (Cindy
Cooper?) and maybe talk to some of the local farm stands that don't bat
an eye at the SCAdians when we go shopping if this would be possible to
do.

It seems like the sort of thing which oughtn't be difficult which
assures me that is probably far too difficult for one person to even
attempt trying to organize. (Not to mention the fact that I live in
Maryland.)

I think it would be possible to create a information flyer by Pennsic to
give out to the roadside stands when we go offsite and for Debatable
Lands people to give out when they go to real farmer's markets.

Something along the lines of:

"A group of cooks is trying to organize a market at Pennsic for farm
fresh vegetables, breads, cheeses, and other types of farmer's market
type products. We have an extreme prejudice towards organic foods and
period foods but most of all we want fresh, local, and in season. This
would hopefully be implemented by year 200_. The contact info is such
and thus. Our e-mailing list is such and thus. Please photocopy this
flyer and give out to other interested parties."

Anyone game?

I can set up an email list on YahooGroups easily, but right now, I can't
convince Yahoo to send to my working email account so I'm not sure that
would be a very good idea. If it were set up someplace like
ansteorra.org it will be harder for non SCAdians to find. If it were
set it up on Yahoo it has ads and all the other Yahoo annoyances.
