Greetings.  It's odd... I posted the original message which
contained two relatively inexpensive sources for large quantities of
gum tragacanth.  Somehow it's gotten transmuted into folk guessing
where tragacanth can be obtained.  If one wants any largish amount
of tragacanth, cake decorating supply stores are not where to go.
They sell small amounts at inflated prices.  I personally have had
no luck with pharmacists.  The web sites I posted have a nice
on-line catalog of decorating items, among other things.
