<< We want to do 16th century Venetian. (...) What dishes would you
consider? >>

A good source for documentation might be Domenico Romoli's 'La singolare
Dottrina' (first ed. Venice 1560). The 1593 edition is online at the
Fons Grewe website in Barcelona:

The fourth book contains a lot of menues: Libro quarto, del mangiare
ordinato di dì in dì, 'Fourth book, on food arranged in menues from day
to day', beginning with the 10th of March 1546 up to the 9th of March
1547. Menues for one year. Modest ones for everyday, splendid menues for
feasts. And lots of recipes later in the book ...

To go to the fourth book in the online version, fill in "65" in the
field to the right from the "anar_a"-button, then click on the said
button. To move forward, click on "endavant" ...
