Yes, German sausage is normally of very high quality, as is French
sausage (both tend not to allow some of the fillers that more whimsical
places like Britain and the U.S.) the mercifully short butchering
careers of Peter Kurten and Fritz Haarmann notwithstanding ;  ).

(That's okay, the Europeans can poke fun at those guys in Wisconsin.)
