For linoleum that just won't budge, you can nail down luan over it and start
fresh.  You'll have to get some "floor leveler" to seal up the edges of the
luan and the nail holes.  Of course, to do this properly, you've got to move
your fridge and stove so you can do the whole floor.  Also consider how this
joins up to other flooring, and make sure you can adjust any doors to swing
freely over the higher floor.
