Hi Magdalena,
Revere ware comes in two types: copper bottom and nickel disk bottom, where a
heavy nickel disk is soddered onto the bottom outside of the pan.
Yes, the damage is to the outside only but I am afraid if I heat the pot
again the rest of the sodder will ooze out or the nickel bottom will come off
or something,
