[Sca-cooks] 'Gum' syrups

Saluti,

Whilst at Pennsic, I bought some frankincense and myrrh, as I vaguely
recollected reading/reading of some ME medicinal 'gum syrups' somewhere and
thought they might be interesting to try out. However, now I can't find the
source. I had a look through Cariadoc's Miscellany (the hardcopy version)
and there doesn't appear to be anything there bar a mastic syrup. Can anyone
point me in the correct direction? MTIA,
