New York may -want- to be part of New England, but it's not. It's too
big, and probably should have been at least two states.  There's a big
difference between eastern and western NY, not including the fact that
it's separate Kingdoms.
Maybe if it split off at the Hudson, but that's it.
Besides, it CAN'T be in New England, or it wouldn't make a proper
vacation :-)
   Beef on weck, garbage plates, spiedies, and lots of really special
little wineries tucked all over the state.  Hmm.  Maybe it's time for a
field trip.
   On second thought, don't bite your tongue, unless it comes from a
deli. You'll miss all the good food.
