Jellied Moose Nose

1 Upper jawbone of a moose
1 Onion; sliced
1 Garlic clove
1 tb Mixed pickling spice
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Pepper
1/4 c Vinegar

It seems to me they sure didn't want to pickle it very much according to
this recipe.  They apparently don't like spices either.  As I recall, a
moose has a *pretty big* nose.  Only ONE clove of garlic?  Cripes, you
wouldn't even SMELL one clove of garlic!
