It's really pretty generic - the event is "Celtic", relatively generic
though leaning towards Irish, it's named Cattle Raids so I figure I'll do
two kinds of beef, plus a couple other meats (probably a fish of some sort,
and a poultry of some sort - I'm hoping duck if I can find it reasonably
priced), plus vegetarian stuff / side dishes - this is not an event where
the feast is the *center* of the event, it's an interbaronial war.
However.... I don't want it to degenerate into a "generic SCA feast"
either... and I'm used to studying later period food, so...I just wanted
some jumping off points for books to read, etc. so I can get a feel for what
ingredients / methods I should be working with for something pre-1000. Does
this help? Thanks for the earlier suggestions...
