      A funny thing happened.

      A month or so ago I saw a copy of Chiquart's on Cookery (more details
  below) on ebay and I bid a little but the bid got a little too high for me
  to part with my money.  So I went searching around and found another copy,
  and that was gone.  So  I wrote to the publisher asking if they were going
  to reprint.  A representative wrote back and told me that they weren't
  thinking of doing it especially since they were having a hard time
  'unloading' the copies they had left.  I got the impression he thinks it's
  available on amazon.com which it isn't as well as not being available on
  amazon.uk.

     Anyway, here's why I am bothering all of you.  He asked if I wanted him
  to send me a few copies so I could 'unload' them for him. I don't know how
  this will work exactly, but I plan to get a copy for myself (after
  interlibrary loaning the book I liked it--although my taste may differ from
  yours) .  If others are interested I would be willing to get copies from
  them and then collect money and send it one big payment.  I would charge
  whatever they charge me plus shipping.    If I get at least 5 people
  (including myself) I will ask for a discount since I am doing them a favor.
