A partial dislocation of the TM joint is orthopedic, not dental.
TMJ syndrome may or may not be related to maloclusion.
If you never had the TMJ until after you mouth was cranked open by the dentist,
it is more than likely not maloclusal, it is probably a partial dioslocation.
time and anti-inflammitants can help the joint pop back into place, but wouldn't
it be better to get an X-ray and know for sure?
If it is a dislocation, the sooner you find out, the easier the resolution will
be, and the less painful NEXT week will be.
