You know - I look at it in the store and it kind of scares me... but a
friend of mine enticed me into trying her wonderful bacalao salad, years
ago. It's actually good, if you know how to cook it! (Which I think is
the secret for most odd seeming foodstuffs.) She'd had to learn from her
mother in law.


I've seen recipes for variations of that cod and potato dish from
several cultures, and one of my I Should Really Try This Someday
projects is to get some and give it a try. I gather I can get pretty
good quality around here, as people actually do eat it...
