Actually, I've made this 'dirt' for parties
for many years:

1 pkg Oreos
1 tub Cool-whip
1 pkg instant chocolate pudding
(clean) clay flower pot
plastic flowers
'Gummy worms' (optional)

Crush the Ores.  Reserve 1 cup.
Prepare the pudding according to package directions.
Mix remainder of the crushed cookies with the pudding
and the cool-whip.

Dump this mess into a flower pot, putting the worms in
there as artisticly as desired.  Put the reserved cookies on top
(crushed oreos look like potting soil) and place the flowers.

You can also make 'sand' by substituting the chocolate pudding for
butterscotch or vanilla, and the oreos for vanilla wafers.

And it is very tastie.
