Hi, Glenda.  Many years ago, my younger brother suffered a similar
injury to your son's (tractor rolled over on him, and it broke his
palate and knocked out his front teeth).  From what little I recall, Mom
made good use of the blender <g>.
If Andrew's up to it (I bet he's pretty bruised), have him be your
second hand for things like pop-tops.....
