[Sca-cooks] Almond Milk what to do with the left over almonds

What does the leftover almonds look like after making almond milk?  Because my great aunt that loved to make coconut milk for a million things used the leftover grounds???  and she would dry them up in a Dutch oven on the stove and she would start adding sugar to it.  When she was done the coconut would have gone from a kind of dusty consistency to a kind of granular one.  You see the sugar coated the coconut particles, and there there was a slightly coconut flavored sweet.  it had a little of crunch to it because of the heated up sugar.  She used to just stand there and move it around the pot so that it would not burn.  It was good.  Just a thought.
