Of course they did. Given a choice, would YOU wish to be buried in
such an outfit? I'm sure they chose their best linen/wool/silk
outfits. :-)

There have been some SCA folks who have made the same decision.

Well, then there's that miniscule, small percentage who would say
"Wow. that's neat. I wasn't aware of that. Can you please write
that up in an article for the Florilegium, please?"
