[Sca-cooks] Lots of pickles

I dunno, Stefan, haven't you ever lived on a farm? I used to can and
freeze produce like that all summer.  Jams, jellies, vegetables (we
mostly froze those), loads of pickles, homemade canned peaches for my
Dad, who was particularly fond of them.  My mom didn't care for doing it
much, so I used to....there's just something so d at mned satisfying about
harvesting and putting food by.....*sigh*
And yeah, there are years when cucumber plants, or tomatoes, or squash
*do* get a little prolific....<g>
