[Sca-cooks] What would you advise?

Heh!  I'm like that about mushy starch/carb dishes.  Can't eat porridge,
congee, etc, and I'll skip frumenty unless it can somehow sneak past my
"ewww" reaction without me noticing.  It's just something about the
texture, or something.  Oddly enough, though, I have no problem with
vegetable or meat dishes of similar consistency.  I just redacted a
mushed-turnip dish from Epulario the other day, and it was great, as are
thick pea soup, mashed vegetables, and so on (unless it's mashed
potatoes, in which case it's mashed starch, and I tend not to eat it).

Must have been some kind of childhood porridge trauma, I think.
