YEAY! Love is good! :)

I didn't add anything to the pork other than the normal ingrediants...it
just had that yellow-brown tint naturally. Cool, huh? The sauce was also
purple, from the red wine, raisens and probably the few strands of saffron
helped with it. :)

>I like the rose buns idea, did you think of that? They were kinda >cute.

>fun!

Well, I THINK this is my idea, but then again, people tend to tell me things
and I store them in my head and later do them thinking myself as being VERY
clever. ;) My apprentice sister Nonna the Midwife (through Master Hroar
Stormgengr) showed me how to make little sclupty roses last Pennsic, so I
decided to try it out with bread.

What I did (and I need to roll them thinner to allow for natural rising) was
flatten out three ovals (petals)roughly 1.5" at its tallest point. Take one
petal and roll it up like a jelly rolly only slightly at an angle lengthwise
(so the roll will be long). Take the next petal and lay it around the bud,
overlapping the bud, and then used the last petal to balance off the other
side (it covers the overlapping ends of the petals near the base). If I
have time, I'll try to take pictures of myself making these things (I don't
know if I made any sense at all with this).

Glad you liked them! Tonight I plan on trying the flatbread recipes and
testing those out. Wish me luck! :)
