Mumblemumblemumble....  Jadwiga, if you swell my head any
more, I'll have a terrible ache, because the halo will be too tight.

To be serious for a moment, this is what I think is one of the great
strengths of the SCA.  We teach and help and inspire one another.
 I am a skilled cook in some ways -- and in others I am still a
novice, grateful for the advice of those who know far more than I do.
You have inspired me to experiment outside my usual safety zone,
with things like period toiletries and cosmetics.  And the large
number of people that you have taught and inspired is one of the
reasons that TRM chose to honor you on Saturday.

(And now, I can almost hear you saying, "I do this stuff because
it's fun/interesting/cool, and I tell other people about it because I
want them to know how fun/interesting/cool it really is."  Uh huh.
Me, too.  So don't come to work in my kitchen because you think
you owe me -- come because it will be fun.)
