Me:
If you think you may not have it, get another anyway. A different size
counts as not having it. Having one that's nearly worn out counts as not
having it. I need some more finger-small whisks by the way.

Jared seems to think so. It's really only a joke that we only stay together
for the sake of the books. My problem in the current still-too-small
kitchen is that there's not half enough room for my Gadget Collection.
Maybe I could arrange them in a way where the landlord thinks they are
modern art?

I'm not either of those worthies, but... Mark the boxes when you pack them
in the first place. Cookbooks were amongst the first book-boxes shelved
when we got to the new place. My cookbooks are organized by topic, some of
them significant only to me: Period Cookbooks. Historical Cookbooks.
Antique Cookbooks. [Not all of those are the same things. American Heritage
is not SCA period but is Historical.] Literary-based cookbooks [from Linda
Wolfe's LITERARY GOURMET to Pratchett-based NANNY OGG'S COOKBOOK and Star
Wars WOOKIEE COOKIEES]. Sci-Fi/Fantasy fanzine publications, like "The
Darkover Cookbook." Regional, European, Asian, USA, Other. Famous and
Infamous [celebrity stuff]. Books =about= cooking, which includes the
second-best private collection of M.F.K. Fisher books I know. About 7
shelf-feet of hometown/church/school collections, each of which have at
least one treasure hidden amongst the variations on 7-layer dips and jello
molds. All the basics, Good Housekeeping, etc. including 2 different
editions of JOY OF COOKING.

Sorry you asked yet?
