Has anyone every heard of American Cookery the ad says it was originally
published in 1796 and was the first cookbook slanted toward women. Also
supposedly has the FIRST recipes for pumppkin pie, Indian Pudding, rice
pudding, and gingerbread. And has the first use of the word “cookie” and
“slaw”. There are 2 first edition copies in existence and this is supposed
to be a facsimile edition. It’s selling for 12.95 plus shipping. Anybody
know if it’s worth getting?
Maddalena
