The compost recipe in The Forme of Cury uses anise seeds. It's a
mixed pickle of fruits and vegetables in a honey-mustard wine/vinegar
sauce, with various spices, including anise.

Does anybody have the original on disk, or do I have to type it in? I
can't seem to find it locally...
