Hello, all. After the success of the Metal Smiths Symposium last month, I've
decided to open up a List for SCA metalsmiths of all disciplines and skill
levels, in hopes of opening up the craft to more people. I'd like to see all
interested people, wherever you are- whether you're a jeweler, or a smith,
an armorer or a smelter, a bladesmith or a chainmail knitter, we'd like to
have you join us.

The focus will be on Medieval and traditional techniques, but certainly
discussion of modern techniques is welcome. Discussion and controversy are
certainly welcome, but flaming and nastiness certainly aren't. Keep in mind,
we're talking in my virtual shop, and I swing a heavy hammer ;-)

To join, goto:

I've posted this to several Lists, as well as individuals I think might be
interested- sorry if you get crosspostings.

Ultimately, I'd like to see a metalsmiths guild started here in the EK, but
in the meantime, I'd love to have my shop open to any metal worker who cares
to stop by. So, hitch your tail on an anvil, show us your latest piece, or
bring out your new stock- it's a hot time in the old shop tonight ;-)

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is probably not a
cat.

Never a horse that cain't be rode,
And never a rider who cain't be throwed....
