Check CFR 27 for required labeling for wines, malt beverages, and distilled spirits.  Fun reading!  And yes, the idea of fruit-honey wine sounds like the BATF!

I might add that sometimes state regulations are involved....Montana,
for instance, gets very peculiarly persnickety about what my friend (who
owns her own winery) makes--her melomels have to be labeled "fruit and
honey wine."  Which they technically aren't, but the state thinks they
should be.....
